Thanks for all the info! I will bring a gallon of bug spray since I always get eaten alive more than anyone else...

seaislegal, we stayed at jaguar paw lodge, it is not budget price, but it is not budget accomodations either. it is very nice. they have guides right there to take you when ever you want to go. the cave openings are on their property. it is on my list of "the awesome things i have done".

I think it was Belitours. I was able to book it through the dive operation that I was diving with. I am not sure of the cost, Maybe around $115, but not sure. When I am on vacation, I just do what I want to and worry about the bills later. We flew to Municipal and were picked up there. It included lunch, which was a Belzean chicken tamale....very good!! We also got a pineapple while going through the rainforest and had that for dessert. Also got to taste a couple of other native fruits. Our guide was Luis, who is a native medicine man. Very knowledgeable!

This cave tubing sounds good. Think its going to have to be fit in with the diving.

Just for info... I found Soloman hiking shoes/water shoes recently at REI. They are mesh on the top but sturdy soles and support.I plan on wearing them for my first trip to Belize in May
