We proudly introducd the People's United Party Councilor Candidate for San Pedro Town, Jose "Cas" Castellanos.
Jose Alfredo Castellanos, also known as "Cas", made San Pedro Town his home when he moved here as a Police Officer in the Criminal Investigation Branch 15 years ago. As a CIB officer he saw first hand the challenges our island faces with crime and poverty, especially the effects it has on the vulnerable members of our society: the children. With a passion for security and safety and years of experience in the police department he ventured into owning his security company, Castellanos Security Service Ltd. His company has employed many locals and provided security services to high end resorts and small businesses alike. Like many long time residents, he fell in love with not only the island but also with his lovely wife. He married island girl Valeria Janelle Rivero in 2009 and had two beautiful daughters. Cas is a firm believer that in order to combat crime we must empower the children and youth with extracurricular activities, in particular sports. As an avid football, basketball and softball player, he believes that sports should be an integral factor in the mental and physical development of children. The involvement of our children and youth is critical as it allows them to learn positive values such as respect, self-love, sharing and commitment among others.

We proudly introduce the People's United Party Councilor Candidate for San Pedro Town, Dianeli Aranda.
Dianeli Aranda is a proud multicultural woman with Mestizo and Garifuna roots. She was lovingly raised in a humble home and has always treasured being part of both cultures. As a child, she enjoyed the life that our growing touristic destination offered. Swimming after class, picking sea grapes off the trees and playing in her neighbourhood with her friends. She was raised by a loving grandfather and single mother, Don Amelio Kumul y Seña Lily Kumul, who taught her that above all, character is not determined by failures but by how one rises above them. She learned not to shy away from hard work and long hours because rising doesn't come easily. She started working in the tourism industry at the tender age of 15 and served in hospitality for 14 years. She is now the manager of San Pedro Town's Aguilar and Associates Law Firm. After she contested the 2018 elections, she immersed herself in the law firm where she helped and facilitated legal services for those in need of support, in particular, to struggling women and their children. She is the mother of two young children, a six-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl. They became the inspiration she needed to rise for change once again. The turning point for Dianeli, was the struggle women faced to feed and educate their children during the lockdowns. She, along with her team, managed to create a small pantry program to counter the struggles of families in need. She has been an adamant supporter of NGOs that advocate for women and children in our community. Dianeli, is now part of the dynamic PUP7 in San Pedro Town. She is confident that with this team, change will come.

Marina Kay is a daughter of San Pedro Town; she was raised in the heart of the island and enjoyed the sandy streets, sandy beaches and the village life that San Pedro offered many years ago. Her passion, however, was in early childhood education. At the age of 20, she opened a day care centre and operated it out of her home. With the growing number of children and happy parents, she opened a pre-school in 1996 and named it: "Little Angels Pre-School". For twenty eight years, Marina has been the owner and principal of Little Angels Pre-school. She has taught countless of San Pedro's children the fundamentals of education. Marina has been a member of the San Pedro Lions Club since 2010 and has served as chairlady of the membership, Leo Advisor, and vice president. We proudly introduce the People's United Party Councilor Candidate for San Pedro Town, Johnnia Duarte.
Johnnia Rivero Duarte grew up in the humble fishing community of San Pedro Town. As a child, she enjoyed the company of her father who taught her that women can stand on their own and provide for their families. She is a single mother of two girls, ages 25 and 13. She then ventured into the tourism industry where she dedicated over 20 years in the service of hospitality. Johnnia has witnessed a drastic transformation of San Pedro Town, from a small fishing community to a top tourist destination. Our growing population has put a major strain on waste management efforts which has greatly affected our environment on the island. Johnnia is an advocate for recycling. Recently, she witnessed how Recycle San Pedro turns glass bottles into landfill, tiles, and plant decorations. This is something that could eventually be developed into a community-garbage separation and recycling project.Johnnia believes that as an ever growing town we must accommodate green areas within our community. These areas are important as they provide a space for socializing, decrease noise and air pollution and improve immune function. Creating green areas on our island and in downtown can be an educational project for children and youth as they can take ownership of the project. Johnnia is a proud councillor candidate of the People's United Party in San Pedro Town because she believes that in order to make a difference we must stand together for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
