You are so right... We take at least 3 vacations a year..Been to several places we REALLY liked ,But when we go back later ,seemed as tho everything was higher..
probably was also at the places we didn't go back to also..Inflation!!! thought it had to have a stopping point, but so far it just keeps going up.. Good Luck on getting a retirement place.. I wish I had did that 25 yrs. ago but hindsite don't wear glasses!!!!!
Take my advice and do it ... One thing you won't ever see is an armoured truck in a funeral possession!!!!!!!!!!!!! JOHN
