What an incredible day out on the water! Hooked this massive barracuda while fishing trip in Belize, and the fight was intense. The power and speed of this fish made for an unforgettable experience. Definitely one for the books!
There’s nothing quite like the thrill of battling a big catch, and my recent fishing trip with Bent Hook Adventures in Belize was an experience I won’t forget anytime soon. If you love fishing and adventure, this is definitely a trip worth taking.
We set out early in the morning, cruising across the stunning blue waters of Belize’s barrier reef. The weather was perfect, with just enough breeze to keep things cool. Our captain, an experienced local guide, knew the best spots to find the big ones, and within minutes of casting our lines, the action started.
After a few solid catches of snapper and grouper, I suddenly felt a powerful tug on my line. The reel screamed as the fish took off, testing my strength and patience. The fight was on! I could feel the sheer power of whatever was on the other end, and with guidance from our crew, I worked to gain control. After what felt like an eternity, but was probably just a few minutes, I finally brought it to the surface—a massive barracuda!
The excitement on the boat was contagious, and everyone cheered as we secured the fish. It was hands down one of the most exhilarating catches I’ve ever had.
Beyond the fishing, the entire trip was incredible—the crystal-clear waters, the laid-back vibes, and the expertise of the Bent Hook Adventures team made it a top-tier experience. If you're looking for an unforgettable reef fishing trip in Belize, this is the way to go.

You'll want to check out Hol Chan and Mexico Rocks. Blue Hole too if you are adventurous and have a whole day to burn. I've never fished while at Ambergris, so I can't speak to that. Sunset cruises are fun. Hope you have a great time. I'll be down that way in about a week.
