Hey any of you old Message board visitors still coming to Marty's forum??? Been a long time since I visited San Pedro, but my memories are still alive and well. We did enjoy meeting up twice a year on our favorite island. Love you, Chloe/Lois Bican

The island and its characters are changing so much - but still some old timers left behind.

Thanks Amando, glad you are around. I am 86 now, therefore traveling is difficult. But love my great memories of 12 trips to Ambergris Belize.

The island moves with the times, it is a much faster pace in town now, traffic everywhere and bustle- but once you get out of town it is still peaceful and the reef and sea views are timeless. I am so glad you were able to visit and can now enjoy those treasured memories.

Thank you Amanda. Many of us sure loved and enjoyed traveling to Ambergris at the same time, from all over the US and Canada. Everything has its own time and place in life it seems. Keep the good vibe there.

Hey old timers ;-) I haven't logged on here in years. I first found Marty's forum back in 2000 - leading up to hurricane Keith who hit the island hard. My first visit was May 2001 and by that time I had met wonderful visitors and residents - some of whom I'm still in touch with (you know who you are). I am actually going to visit next month for the first time in 6 years. So much change over these decades. I just reread my travel journals for each visit (14 total). I'm starting to get excited.

Hi Chloe! I still go at least once a year. I will be there August 20-28. I keep thinking I’ll grow tired of it but I never do.

Good afternoon all. While I am a relative newcomer to Ambergris, my wife first visited in '03 and '06 with her late husband. Fast forward and now we are married and she suggests taking her and my sons with their wives to Ambergris. Covid delayed that but wife and I managed to get over in March of '24. Bought some property up north and came back again in Oct of '24. This past March we were there and purchased a Casita across from X Tan Ha. Headed back over last part of July into Aug. Then again in mid Nov. Wish I had been here 30 years sooner. Waiting for our old pups to pass on before we move over. Hope we outlive them.
