Thanks for the info. Before the big bridge was built, when we had the pull ferry, there was a tiny little wooden bridge at the first turn in the road. This was before Reef Village or the school was started.
Because the pull ferry charged extra after 8:00 PM I made it a habit to get across just before then. My joy was that a Night Heron lived there at the little bridge. When I came up quietly, without my golf cart light on, I could watch here. Other wise she would fly up in front of me squawking loudly.
I miss her and all the other birds that used to live in the lagoon.
