American Airlines just announced a Central and South American fare sale. I imagine the other airlines will follow suit. So if anyone is planning any trips soon you might want to check it out. Trips from the DC area dropped in price from around $520USD to $470USD (taxes included). Not a huge amount but better than nothing.
