Announcer on Orange Walk radio stated at 5:30 that he had just talked to
fisherman who told him the low tide in Corozal Bay had reversed and water
had gone up 3 ft in 2 hours. This means the surge is coming.

So I jumped in the car to check the boat. Guess what -- the water level of
Corozal Bay is still about equal to those "hard" low tides we get during a
strong El Norde that I saw at noon.

So what gives??

I get in the Car in Xaibe -- very light drizzle -- low winds. I get to
Corozal and their is a real rain going on -- and gusts of breeze -- some
quite strong. More than anything we have seen to this time!

Get back to the house -- raining and gusts in Xaibe. We are passing out
from under the tropic storm band.

We'll see how long this lasts.
