My husband and I will be visiting Ambergris Caye in November. We have never been there before.

Can anyone offer information for that time of the year? Weather, events, fishing, diving, etc. We will be there on the 27th which I understand is the "birthday" for San Pedro. Is this correct and if so, what type of local celebrations are taking place? We are so excited and can't wait. It's been a long time since we've had an opportunity to get away and destress ourselves.

Also, what about the mosquitos and bugs this time of the year? They love me and so I will definately be taking Deet, but is it generally better or worse than other times of the year?

Anyone have any suggestions as to what NOT to do or go (and why)?
