To me, the problem seems to stem from thinly veiled accusations directed not at the SPSC itself but at a certain individual. Stating that one knows the 'truth' suggests that another individual is lying, that communications were 'hushed' implies that someone else is conspiring and commenting 'ignorance is bliss' indicates that there could be a scheme afoot to keep trusting SPSC members in the dark.
I wonder what would happen if these types of accusations were made against any of you? I know if it were me, and I had done my best to be upfront and forthcoming, it would get my back up and I might be inclined to hurl an insult or two in my frustration.
As pug said, there is plenty to raz Ernie about. Did you see that shirt he had on at BC's a few weeks ago? Geez! However, personally, I don't think there is any way to call his honesty and integrity into question and to suggest that he would do anything to shortchange the kids of San Pedro is ludicrous.
