Grace, Transporting across land is only going to happen for use north of the Bridge. I can see no way unless they build a stronger bridge that loads could cross. Therefore gravel transport to SP or South of SP can only be accomplished by barge.

Elbert has a much better handle on this than I. This could have other goals than are being publicized. If the gravel can not be used for cement and I personally do not know this, then it will be used for road and building fill I would guess.

Yes you are right; it has the potential to change the character of the area north of the bridge.
