Lou, you should really consider taking a leave of absence or some such as a sabbatical and come down to Belize and live for a couple of months (with or without working) and see how you like it. I personally am in a position where although I have full time residency (QRP) and fortunately could afford to live there full time I don't think I could do it. It is a lovely place with lovely people but I think living here full time is not something you should jump into without trying it for a couple of months first. Even break it into two month long trips - but try it first.
