It is Left wing rubbish because even if you taxed the wealthiest at 90+% you still could not balance the budget under the current circumstances. WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM, NOT A TAXING PROBLEM! I just heard him talk of even more spending in his last weekly message.

Now if they agreed to all of the proposals of the non-partisan commission on deficit spending and there where safeguards so that spending could not be increased except in emergency (?) there would be much more support for tax increases.

Personally I think everyone should have some skin in the game so to speak. When half the population doesn't pay any income taxes how the hell can a system be fair? They just keep voting for more spending.
