Voting gringo and Limey numbers would be interesting.
Most Limeys can vote, as after 6 months here you are eligible to vote in local elections but not national - I think.
I believe you have to be a permanent resident to vote -- and that takes being in the country for a minimum of a year (plus other requirements). Perhaps someone can confirm.
Re. Commonwealth Citizens was, and possibly still is, different. I voted having been here less than a year but this was a few moons back. I'd be intrigued to know what the rule/law is these days. This was definately just local elections though, so it could be some local chicanery.
