Hi there,
I am a french writer. In 1973 I stayed un Belize for a couple of months. I was mailing a tugboat together with Jim ( son of Kathreen Lee of Mon's Triangle Inn) and his friend Guy (who said he was from pirate Drake descendance). We were bringing restaurant material for Mon's from Key West. The tugboat was names Atacas. Today, I am writing a novel around this period and I would like to get un touch with people who knew Jim and Guy and the abacas. I need some photos of these very great time. We went through a tough storm in october not so far from Cuba and we had to sail back to Key West. Then Guy and Jim had to fly back to Belize to find money to repair the Atacas (Jim had lost all the restaurant material that was thrown down the sea bay the storm) so I kept I took care of the Atacas in Key West for three months. I was a 23 years old backpacker at that time and meeting thesis two guys changed my live for ever. This novel will be my tribute to them.
I don't know if you are the right people, but il you could forward my message to anyone who could help me, I would surely appreciate, as well as I would appreciate photos or text from Belize in 1973. For instance, I have the souvenir of a bar that was called Lou's bar in Duval Street, maybe where de three bull bar is today. I am not sure, but this is the type of info I would like to confirm with someone.
Thank you for whatever help you might procure to me.$
Take care and keep cool
