Present Condition: Some light cloud cover on the mainland, mostly clear. Sunny in San Pedro. A somewhat moist easterly airflow prevails ahead of an approaching cold front.
Advisories: A small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas.

A few cloudy spells today and mostly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers will occur mainly over central and southern parts of the country. Elsewhere, showers will be isolated.

Outlook:
For Sunday and Sunday night is for variably cloudy skies and cool weather conditions. A few showers and periods of rain will occur mainly over the south and offshore.
Sargassum Forecast from February 7 to February 15:
Satellite imagery show that Sargassum amounts continue to increase over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Honduras. As a result, there is now a high chance that more Sargassum mats could drift onto local beaches during the next few days. San Pedro has a high probability and a moderate expected impact.

Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
A Gale Warning is in effect for the south-central Caribbean off the coast of
Colombia.
Strong trades dominate the central Caribbean, with fresh to
locally strong trades in the eastern Basin. Mainly fresh trades
are present in the SW basin, with gentle to moderate winds in the
NW. Earlier strong winds in the Windward and Mona Passages have
diminished diurnally, but locally fresh winds remain. Seas
throughout the basin range from 7 to 10 ft, except in the NW
Caribbean where seas of 3 to 6 ft dominate.
For the forecast, fresh to strong trade winds will continue over
the central and northeastern Caribbean Sea, with fresh winds in
the eastern Caribbean, through the weekend. A cold front will
reach the Yucatan Channel this evening and from central Cuba to
offshore Honduras Sun night, bringing fresh northerly winds.
