I myself was wondering about rum brands, specifically local brands... I am something of a rum aficionado(sp), and prefer Anjeo amber rums from the Dominican Republic, and Venezuelan brands (which you can't hardly find anymore due to some sweetheart deal to only export Anniversario).

So you experienced travelers that prefer rum, what local brands should I be asking for? If I find 1 or 2 I like, I'll be taking some home with me... laugh
