I think that, regardless of your sexual orientation, you will find Ambergris Caye to be the most wonderful place you have ever visited. Regardless of whether you are taking a partner with you to the island or not, I think that you will have a great time. However, if you are going to the island in hopes of "finding someone", I can't give you any pointers in that direction. I can only tell you that Ambergris Caye is one of the most beautiful vacation destinations that we have ever encountered, gay or straight! So, the question in my mind is....if you are focused on meeting other gays, I am not sure how you will fare on the island. If you are looking for a great vacation site, you have found it!
