I just spoke to Nellie Gomez in San Pedro. She reports that there are NO reported incidents of water or food borne or mosquito borne diseases.
Public health inspectors are walking door to door telling people to disinfect their water, wash their hands, don't dump trash in the lagoon, sea, or near wells.
There are many people who have colds or respiratory problems caused by mold, mildew and too many people in close quarters.
There is an odor problem and she is not sure what the timeline is for getting waste disposal on track or where it will be dumped.
Medical supplies and doctors are readily available should they be needed.
