It's actually Quitana Roo - only people who are experts on the land, customs and people should be allowed to visit - Pedro has been banished!

I can't find a spelling Quintanaroo on that page, however unlike Pedro, I have been known to be wrong.

Seems to be a bit of contention here. Funny. I personally will be back Jan of '06, which will be 2 years from the last visit. I am relatively sure of the following facts.
1.the ocean has not changed in thousands of years, it will still be there after 2.
2.the majority of my favorite restaurants will still be in business, probably at the same sites.
3. Belikin
4. The people will still smile, the crusty ex-pats will still frown.
5. The kids will still try (sometimes successfully) to sell me something.
6. Whether I am billed in US or BZ dollars makes no difference. I can ask if I am in doubt.
7. If my hotel or any restaurant I choose happens to add a service charge, so be it. I will still tip for good service.
8. I will experience and enjoy the feeling of calm serenity that San Pedro imparts.
9. I will leave relaxed, refreshed, renewed, and sad.
10. Life will go on until my next visit.

Everyones experience is different. Thank you to all the first timers and newbies for their trip reports, you let me enjoy your experiences and add to my list of new things to do on my next (5th) trip.

Bobber, I was there in February and can assure you that all of your statements still hold true. I was amused that many of the USA expats were more cynical than Brits and that takes some doing.
