Hey, I hate to ask this on this section for those of us on and off the island to talk about the hurricane, but it is the only topic where those of us still left on the island are posting today... Govikes, are you still at the internet cafe? Do you or anyone else know if food in the park is open? I am craving a burritto or rice and beans!

Power is still on. Sun is still shining, beer is still cold. Just got done eating a crunchy falafel sandwich and some yummy roast chicken from Ali Baba's. Some vendors in park are open, Celi's deli, Bc's, Ali Baba's. And where I am - Coconet. laugh

I hope you all stay safe. Will be back in Belize on Wednesday so I think Belize will be spared. I was there for Iris, Keith, & Mitch and even Hurricane Hattie in '61. Emails been poring in from my friends and family in Belize telling me to stay the hell away because they think I am a hurricane magnet.

Just got in this morning - long day yesterday trying to leave San Pedro. Wish we were still there though to ride it out with everyone else. Would have but BB mgmt really wanted everyone to go. Anxious to know how everyone / everything is doing. Hope you guys there can keep posting. Know we're worried about you and care about what happens - stay safe & dry...

My thoughts are with you guys but my worries won't ease for a while yet.

And I still have my friends in Coz and the States to worry for.
