Not a drop of rain so far...a very quiet night...still.

URGENT: anyone in town, please let me know if you can help!

I am in extreme pain. I sprained my ankle yesterday. I did not think it was that bad and the pain has gotten severe and much worse. After reading about sprained ankles on the internet it says that it starts out with mild pain, then increases. I could not walk late tonight and just woke up in the middle of the night in pain and can hardly get from my bed to livingroom. I am hopping. Can not move my ankle either way, and feel pain in my lower back as well. I could not imagine getting down the stairs right now where I live. Is there ANY doctor in town that is working during a time like this that I can see tomorrow? If so, please post their name and number if you have it. Do any of you on the island have any crutches that I can purchase from you or borrow? Thank you for any replies in advance.

You need to go to the Lions Polyclinic. Dr. Dan and Tina are holding the fort while the others left the island. If they're not there they'll be down at the Ambergris Hopes Clinic. My phonebook is packed up right now but you can call information for the number. If all else fails give me a call at 600-1033 as I have Tina's cell phone number.

Is there any word on DAMAGE yet? We are in Belize City trying to go to Ambergris and need info on how things are looking. Hopefully we can get there today or tomorrow. How about the power??? Any help would be appreciated!

Power is on. All is well. We never had any wind or rain at all.
Hotels must get their staff back before they can receive guests.

Ke, You can get up and down the stairs on you bottom. I have had to do this. It is the only safe way till you get use to the crutches. Hope you are better. Pam

Thank you God for blessing our island!

A lot of us need today to get the boards down and unpack before we'll be ready for business. 9000 people left the island and we'll need quite a few of those back to get our businesses back to full speed. I would think that we'll be mostly back in business by Tuesday and business as usual with everyone back by Thursday at the latest (that's when I expect my staff back.)

If you do decide to come in today please be patient, we've had a long couple of days.
