Yes, we saw that about classical music, too. We play the radio to our grapes (seriously). The noise keeps the birds away, at least we like to think it does sometimes. Maybe we ought to switch to the classical station, though...

One of our clients brought us a fine California Wine - $1.97 a bottle.

Hey I'm not a wine snob - I know what I like, that fits into the entertainment budget - and I enjoy it.

But a good rum punch and a few cold, cold belikins has it's place in life too laugh

Simon - which old San Pedro Sun building? Hopefully the one across the street from the Island Academy. I was just driving along the road this morning wracking (sp) my brain trying to think of a temp site for the clinic.

I adopted a new pot licker yesterday and was ever so grateful that the Saga clinic and Dr. Sheila were here to give her the once over and some shots.

Saga needs to establish its permanent home sooner than later - temporary situations cost more money. So everybody start thinking about digging into the pockets for our animals too.

BTW Lawcucui - there is a San Pedro Wine Club - don't attend it myself but I have heard it is good for some great wines, great food and lots of laughs once a month.

Amanda, correct, right across from the south entrance to Island Academy.

That's a thought on the wine club functions, they should be posted here when they come up.

I thought I would add my two cents here. First, Lagniappe Provisioning is a wonderful service - Simon has a huge selection of everything. He's quite accommodating laugh

Secondly, I went to go find a nice bottle of wine to bring to someone's house as a host gift while I was on AC in August. I first went to Wine Devine - they had a wonderful selection of wines from all over the world - some I love - very pricey for my occasion and yes there was NO California wines there. I asked specifically.

Then Steve from Coconets told me to go the wine and spirit shop down the street a ways. Tulu's Daughter works there. I found my California wine that I knew was good and it was maybe 20% more than what I pay in California. And, that wine was not available on Simon's list.

I'm not a wine snob - I can drink just about anything. But I now know that what ever it is I want, I can find it on AC and rather than lug it with me (back problems), I will happily support the local community when I'm there. laugh wink

Gela, I believe you are referring to Premium Wine and Spirits in the new(ish) shops aside The Aqua Marine.
They have a very good selection. Before they opened about a year ago, I used to have them send me over cases of wine from their warehouse in Belize City.

That bottle must have been a special for them or a new item. I just received their updated list along with WDV's so it should be posted in a couple of weeks when I do a renovation on the order form. The 2 stores compliment each other nicely with little product crossover.

Wine De Vine does have a great selection but know that you'll pay quite a bit more for them due to taxes and the cost of importing. Last I looked, there weren't any California wines and I'm a big Zin drinker frown

Good luck and pack carefully!
Looked over the wine list at the local place - it's not a great list esp Calif. wise. We're extremely picky esp. since we've friends who are winemakers.
