Ohhhh...where to start? Let's see, how about from the top. I never said that the owners of Brianna's turned us in(SIN said this). By the way SIN, my name is Tim, I live in Eugene, and am a produce buyer. First thing when I got to work, I told my boss, the president of the company what happened, and we had a good laugh. So, before you go calling somebody a low, life scum, how about we get together and talk over a cup of coffee? I have no fear, of you, or drug tests! Just curious, SIN, do you drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, take any prescription meds? Perhaps those who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones. NO DRUGS on SP? LOL! To Sandy Beach, I never did say that this was YOUR fault. Where did I ever say that getting busted was the fault of the owners of the house? Also, I am not angry at any of this. Very good lessons learned through the experience...such as, don't travel with my father-in-law again. Or, get seperate rooms, as we did at the new location. Again I ask the question, "What happened to the pages that were taken from the comment book?" Just curious... I just finished reading Chris' post...best one yet. I fully agree with your response to the dealer. When I rebuffed a dealer like this only a week ago, I was pushed into a wall and threatened...perhaps I should have just said, "No thanks" and walked away, but I was not in the mood to deal with a drug dealer. Yes, my father-in-law was at fault, yes we were all in the house when the police came in, yes we got what was deserved (sort of...the cops don't know who smokes and who doesn't, and we were all in the presence of the illegal substance...our fault). I guess I should have done two posts, to avoid confusion. One post on the pot experience, so that others can make choices on how they would like to deal with their wants, and one post discussing the house itself. The fact remains that the house is NOT quiet, but IS beachfront/roadfront. The fact remains that the dogs next door bark, almost all the time. The fact remains that the neighbors are an issue. Finally, the fact remains that I acknowledged that Sandy brought Mel, a town council member, to hear a story and neither of them were happy about our treatment.

Yes Kristykins I believe I stated that. That said I'm sure MOST of us don't have to accept it or like it. Now it's up to the people who LIVE there to figure out what to do.

Kristykins....Yep! Although, I admit that I was a total jerk to the guy, he IS a drug dealer, and I am not surprised at his reaction...he was probably on drugs himself. I would guess this may happen on AC, oh, maybe once a year? total guess, but this is NOT normal. If I had just said No Thanks, nothing would have happened, and I would have been on my way. AC is very, very safe from what I have seen and heard.

I definetly don't want any drama in any way while in AC.

Blame, it's the new responsibility.
Amazing tale, hopefully I'll be able to fend of the hordes of drug dealers and not give in within my first three hours on the island...

OK...after reading all this I have to comment. Drugs are not a new thing in San Pedro. I visited 4 years ago and stayed at a hotel in town. There were two rooms with Canadian visitors that brought in pot and were dealing it from the hotel...the bartender was even in on it and told one of the guys at the bar if he was going to smoke it to walk south down the beach, not north as there were police on the beach. So let's not blame the people of San Pedro when the tourist are just as guilty. As long as there is a demand....there will be a supply.

kristykins - its all in how you handle yourself and the best way is to say "no thank you" and walk away. Repeat if necessary. That is how you handle any unsolicited sales person regardless of their wares. It works for us - no problem.
Time flys - have fun!

Man, the only thing more stupid than buying drugs, and buying drugs off strangers, is FLYING with drugs to a foriegn country.
