Spl, last time I went To Caye Chaulker it was $35 Belize(round trip), that was 2 wks. ago.
A very nice 25 min. boat ride inside the reef.
Staying there 3 nites in April before coming to S.P.for a Wk.

is caye caulker a must to go visit????

Be careful about getting a taxi at night. Last year, I left the Palace Casino at 3:00AM and could not find a taxi to save my life. I do not know if I just had bad luck or if this is the norm. It seems like other people have had good luck with taxis so I hope my case was unusual.

The nearest taxi stand is by Central Park. There are taxis there most of the night.

Kerri_Canada - caye caulker is not a must go visit but its a neat couple hour stop(lunch, walk) while on an all day trip(snorkeling, fishing, etc.IMHO

caye caulker is a MUST for lobster fest, anyone know what i mean?

Caulker is kinda a must-do since you're going to be in A/C for 2 months. It's the cheapest different place to get to and has a more laid back vibe, a little rasta -one love, one heart.
It's less expensive and less busy than SP so spend a few days once in awhile there to dry out after SP party binges. I think you're going to love it at both places and hope you do Canada proud.
As for security, remember the buddy system -3 girls are a force to be respected,keep the sisterhood together and walk whenever and wherever you wish in SP.
