I'm SOOOO glad I just read all the links on pica pica. I'm going to have nightmares of a red, itchy rash in my nether-regions! Oh, well. As I've said before, I'll enjoy every minute of my time on AC as long as I'm not surrounded by TEENAGERS!!

Marty, You are just toooo sweet!They always get me , the no-see-ums, monster mosquitoes, chiggers, sea lice,aka Pica Pica, but by any other name is itcha-itcha...

Just watch out for the purple Man of War jelly fish they are out early this year.
I got hit by one off the dock on the surface, very painful & needs imeadiate attention.

Just got back on Wednesday, spent days in the water, no pica pica.

Lacy - I'm told that Pica Pica means "Itchy Itchy"
They call me the Pica Pica magnet. I wouldn't get in the water all last week becaus one of the DM's I know was hit hard on the neck and face the week before. I was FORCED to go yesteray but it was so rough outside the reef we simply dove Hol Chan (which I never tire of - always something new) and had no PP problems.

I dove in October and December and never had a problem.

That's because pica pica comes in the spring.
