Man I am sorry to hear this... It was a TRUE pleasure to have met/spent time with him... he was a incredible character (and I mean "character" in the in the most brilliant definition of the word.) I was truly looking forward to seeing him again and listening to his stories over a good meal...

Mervino certainly left his mark on a lot of places and people...

Thanks SFJeff, I agree about the "character" - in fact I said that myself earlier today as we left the hospital.

Richie Woods always said he was a confederate general in the US civil war. I have yet to get independent confirmation of that.

Marty, your photo tribute to Mervino is a great display of your love for a man that touched your heart and the hearts of many....Blessings to all of us who knew him and his family.

Marty, I'm so sorry to hear of Mervino's passing. I know you will miss him dearly, as will anyone who knew him. Celebrate his life, and every one and every thing he touched during his life. If you keep this in your mind, he will never leave your heart.
