I will be able to add my name to the list of TX residents 4/1. But before I start my new job I will be squeezing a quick trip to you know where! Don't ya think I'll be able to go more often? Airfare should be half of what it is flying from MN! Guess I'll have to change my user name, but no it won't be 'gocowboys'.!!! LOL

Gay, My gaughter is Kelcy Jones. She has been there since the early 90's. got her BS in Geology in probably 97-98. Been working on her masters since! Her hubby is Jessy and he teaches geology part time. Maybe they have Belikins at Specs' downtown!? I'll go check that one out soon! Need to find out about "Marie Sharps" too! It's hard being a "Belize" junky on a fixed income!! Richard

JohnBoy, I'll let you know details of my planned trip as the materialize, and the dates get a little closer. We will get together for some cold ones for sure. Gina, It's a long stretch of road from Columbus to Brazoria on the San Bernard River! What town is your sis-inlaw close to? I'm probably close to midway between those 2 towns. Richard

I'm about 18-20 miles north of West Columbia. If you wait til after Easter you should get good weather!I place emphases on "SHOULD"! Actually, most folks down here like the brief cold snaps, it's a pleasant break from hot and humid!Spring is the best time of year here, if the wind doesn't lay til July it's as good here as San Francisco! Don't tell anyone that, we also enjoy the low people density!! I lived in SF for a few years before Texas and liked it before everyone FOUND it!...Richard

Hey'ya, Richard-
May I recommend Firgirl.com as a fine purveyor of Marie Sharp's and pretty much all things spicy.
Mary Going, the original "Firegirl", is a goddess & will go out of her way to actually track stuff down for you. Greatness!!!
If you correspond with her, please tell her that the "Natives of Chili Island" are thinking of her!
Kim from Dallas also a Chili Island Native hailing from the Lone Star Parrot Head Club
