Chloe, I would concentrate on the positive aspects of it all. He got through the brain surgery... many people, and I do mean many, don't even have the chance of getting to brain surgery. You are in a different place now emotionally, physically and I am sure spiritually.
We don't have a clue why God puts things in our paths... but the old saying that He doesn't give us anything we can't handle is simply so true.
You now need to take on a much different role in your husbands life. Quite frankly, you need to be the strong one, the leader, and never show him your personal weakness. You have to ask yourself, are you crying... for yourself... or for your husband. That sounds cruel, but that's not why I said it.
We all walk down hard roads... some more litered with rocks and stumbling blocks... but we all make it to the end... and now I better stop before I really start getting philosophical... laugh
