Kathy, look at the web page address....is it correct?

Thanks for the Taca info. flycheapol.com is who I always used flying from Minnesota. It's funny but I'm half as far to Belize as when I flew from MN and my airfare is still the same! Anyway, I'm just gonna book it and then try to decide if I want to stay someplace new or revisit my regular haunts. This will be my 10th visit and I usually alternate between Ruby's and 7 Seas. Loved Mayan Princess and stayed at Sunbreeze my 1st 2 visits. It's like trying to decide where to eat.......

American just announced a $309 fare to Belize out of DFW. USAir regularly has fares in the $300 to $350 range from about a dozen East Coast and Midwest cities.

I now mostly fly USAir and Continental to Belize. But I've flown TACA many times, to Costa Rica, Guatemala City and elsewhere in addition to Belize. All my TACA flights have been very good. As noted, TACA generally has free booze and food. TACA occasionally gets panned for losing luggage, but I've never had that problem.

I have not flown TACA, but would 100% fly with them before AA. The last 3 times I flew to BZ on AA were awful. Sat on the runway for 45 minutes after our return. Totally stupid and it was HOT!! I'm in South Georgia, and I fly north to Charlotte to fly US Air. Longer air time, but it's cheaper than AA, and SOOOO much nicer.

Never had a problem with AA.

We have flown Taca at least a dozen times out of Miami to Belize City (in years past), with only one incident. One piece of luggage, my tripod, was sent on to Honduras. I was assured that it would be recovered and delivered to Consejo by cab, (90 miles to the north) as soon as it was returned to Belize. One week later I received a call from Taca and was advised it was at the airport but I would have to come and get it. Since I could not use my 500mm lens without it (and that was my purpose in Belize) I had to make the 180 mile r/t. I did express my disappointment when I picked it up but thought no more about it. Arriving at the airport a couple weeks later for our return trip home, to our pleasant surprise, Taca up-graded my family to first class. I never expected that and thought that was real nice of them. Would I fly Taca again? Sure, if the price was right.
