My theory on the closing of the Caye Caulker airstrip is that we Corker's were getting too much of the tourist dollar, and the machine has to keep the little guy down. Anyway, we're such a "special" little island that our devotees would swim here if necessary (and it MAY be necessary if the gas station runs out of gas for the water taxi? Word on the street is that the Caye Caulker fisherfolk pulling in lobster for all-a-yu San Pedranitos appetites are taking priority in the gas ration. You should see the boats lining up.
