I guess my question would be to chloe... is the family coming to say goodbye or are they coming for a memorial day bbq?

Maybe we're all jumping the gun here and Mr. Chloe isn't ready to go anywhere soon. It may be that he is simply resting but is lucid, talking, etc... I think we can tell a person it's ok to move on if they are in and out of a coma, etc.

I don't think I would be picking out a suit anytime soon here.

Denny, I think Windjammer has the right input for Chloe Love is strong and letting go is difficult.

On the surface I agree with windjammer... all I'm saying is that maybe it's just not the time for it right now... maybe we're reading into the situation something that just isn't there yet... coming maybe, just not at this moment... shrug

see what I mean? we simply do not know all of the situation right now. There's a huge difference and a lot to say and be done inbetween 10 hours and 10 months as Chloe put it. shrug

Oh Denny you are funny, Memorial Day BBQ, amazingly he would love that very thing if he had the strength. It's hard on Joe's family we left Chicago in 77 to live a dream, of sunshine and beaches. Joe could never stand cold weather.
It has been paradise, for us, just not as much as Belize but close. He is the only family member that ever left Chicago.

Joe would tell you himself, he has lived his life on his terms, and enjoyed everyday until last October. He never Never did anything he did not want to, and allowed me to live my life along side him.

He is resting fairly comfortable, vitals still strong. He's sticking around for the BBQ.

So does Joe, he said the Hospice nurse last night grabbed his butt....lol

Thanks, all, you are my friends sitting in my office waiting for me day and night....now that's good, and no darn red carpet needed.

You have to mix humor with grief. It's a survival technique. Some time I'll tell the story of me being at a funeral back in Philly. Our cousins from Ireland arrived at the funeral home, via taxi with a couple cases of beer. To make a really long and funny story short... we all ended up in jail... the parish priest had to come bail us out. All I'll say is the argument involved Grandpop Tom (the deceased... God rest his soul) and the color of his eyes.

I hope you aren't still mad at the family. They probably just didn't express themselves properly, since they are feeling sad too.

I also suspect that for you, it is probably a relief to be able to rale at something else for a change.
