While a friend was attending a Law course, the 'Audi alteram parten' rule was explained to them. Translated, it means "To hear the other party". After discussing the subject at great length, the lecturer asked if anyone didn't understand the rule.
Responded one man, "My wife."

Re: Cat and woman photo tangent. In my humble opinion this looks made up. 1. The cat is in focus and the woman is slightly out as I would expect, but the lamp behind her is too sharp for the "depth of field" focused on the cat. 2. The flash exposure on the cat and woman look normal, but the lamp is putting off too much light for this short flash exposure.

I suspected it was made up too, but if it is I can't figure out how they did it. I zoomed in on it myself and the edges around the cat and women look perfect. Also check out the reflection of the cat and women in the window. it matches nicely. At this point I would suspect that Silk is right, a small woman and big cat making the cat look enormous. Here is a bad fake: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blgiantcat2.htm And here is my favorite ![[Linked Image]](http://picture.funnyjunk.com/pics/giantkitty.jpg)

I agreee Chris, it bears no obvious signs of manipulation. Not only are you correct about the window reflections, but the shadow of the cats front paw is highlighted perfectly just above her left hip as is her right elbow on the back wall. The table lamp doesn;t bother me at all.
The animal is definitely in the arms of a petite lady.

Speaking of fakes... the picture above of the cat in the dining room is an obvious fake. C'mon people, just look at it. How do I know it's fake? Now who in their right mind would paint their walls a crappy yellow with green trim? Plus there is nothing on display in the china closet. Good try Chris but you can't pull anything over on me.

Chris, sorry... you gotta get up pretty early in the morning to fool me. Take a close look at the banjo... notice anything? Like for instance the banjo is turned around... and another little tidbit... it has no strings. Obviously another crappy cut and paste job.
