klc, did you join in the Loudonville canoe parties? Now that was and still is a fun time. Funny how alot of Ohio goes to our great north coast for the summer, and alot of those folks head to our lakes and state parks in the south. Put in Bay was a great memory of my youth, but then we stopped going for awhile when bikers took over the island. Wasn't my idea to stop going, I think I would have had a great time with those dudes. Parents, what can ya do with them?
Klcman, about 15 yrs ago I quaried stone out of my front yard and took it to Catawba to face a feature wall of a new house for Glen Wank. Quite a job. Many interesting houses on the island.
Columbus area, Danny. I also have fond memories of that great Chautauqua on Lake Erie, Lakeside. Enjoyed many church camps there as a kid. Man, we were devils! I still drive through there occasionally, all those great victorian houses.
