Official correspondence to the office of the SPA-SC Treas/Trez? (can you and the Prez please figure out your correct title? The confusion leaves the members wondering about the stability of the leadership! IMHO)
I have been dutifully studying the rules, regulations, requirements and prerequisites for probationary membership in your honorable organization. As you know, the effort put forth and time involved in achieving such high standards as are required to attain such lofty goals can't be accomplished in mere days (besides, there was a football game on).
But I must bring one concern I have to your attention. At the end of every section, there is a notice to go to the official SPA-SC web site to down load any new updates to sections, sub-sections, amendments to said previously re-ruled challenges, new membership requirements, etc.
While I understand this is a timely and valuable tool to keep current membership appraised of any updates, the new requirements section for probationary members seems to have an addition of approximately 400 pages of required reading and assignments per week. As the council must surely be aware, all (or at least me, which is all I am concerned about) have a full time job requiring a certain percent of our time every week.
As much as I hate to admit it, I cannot shake the feeling that this may be some horrific ruse to have me continue sending blank checks to the office of the treasurer/treazurer and never qualify for my "free beer free mug with free beer nut privileges" card with the glossy glamour shot on the front.
I will await your timely, reassuring response.
Respectfully,
PB on Probation
I've already told you more than I know.

You're a little too quick-witted for these guys. Their system is designed for mental turtles.

OFFICE OF THE TREASURERDear Probationee PB... I was so thrilled to hear of your intense reading of our rules and regulations! You are well on your way to becoming a respected member of our organization. It's very rare that we have an underling question our fiduciary rules... Far be it from me to give you a wrong answer here as I want to be totally honest in giving you an answer to your ambiguous question. However, I hate to give a wrong answer to monetary questions like yours and am therefore passing your question along to our Accountants: Bellafuccio Brothers: Movers, Fresh Produce and Accountants of South Philly. I am confident that they will reply in a timely manner. Sincerely yours in brotherhood, Denny Shane Treasurer <--- official seal

I awoke to find an empty beer mug with the handle broke off stuffed with a crumpled bag of beer nuts in my bed this morning. Much to my chagrin, there was only one nut inside the bag. Needless to say, check's on the way.
I've already told you more than I know.
