Punishment for who? By who? For what? Three stories on Drudgereport today . Woman given ticket for breast feeding baby behind two beach umbrella's and towel. Huh? Lady has new baby and is doing what is right and gets ticket, for what? O.k. dumb thing to do to give ticket but where is the common sense?
Second story. 8 yr.old boy has 14 yr. old girl babysitter. There playing truth and dare and she dare him to touch her breasts and he does it. No big deal to him and mentions this to his mother later. She is the one that made it a big deal and now he is really going to be hurt. He, the little boy was charged but charges later droped. Where is the common sense?
Last story. 13 yr. old boy dissapears from Yankee Stadium during 7 th. inning break while going to bath room. He was attending game with his 65 yr. old mother (??), brother, and sister. Did he run away? Probably so. Stolen? Maybe, but how did he get out with every exit with camera. If he was stolen it probably was by someone that works there or worked there that know the secrete was in and out. Every large building has them to some extent as in passage doors not for public. Now if he was stolen then that perp is the one to be punished. confused

I told them ahead of time what would happen... I would fire them, call the police and inform anyone I knew, in the business, that they were fired for stealing.

In the entire time I owned the companies, I never had to fire anyone for stealing... and believe me I would have known. eek

Denny I use the same approach as you did in stating my intent to new employees if they are caught stealing from me.
If you state it prior to them working for you and before getting to know them, they don't take it "personal" like they have a flaw.
It works well for pre-nup agreements also,if you want one bring it up as a conversation PRIOR to getting serious while your getting to know each other and then they don't take offence later when you ask for one..you can just remind them of the conversation you had one night early in the relationship .. eek
