Thanks! I would LOVE to get a copy of your island play list! I'm still in the process of loading stuff on mine - no real complaints so far but it did take me a good couple of hours to figure out how to delete songs once they are on - the thing really should come with an instruction book for non-technology savvy people like me

I'm told that the hard drives in iPods last about the same time as laptop HD's, about 18-24 months, and can't be replaced - you just throw the whole thing away. Anyone know if this is correct?

Also, that no iPods will play WMA files....?

I've read that & similar complaints on a couple of websites - no firsthand experience. While iPods won't play WMA files, iTunes will convert WMA files for you.

huh I doubt it cause you can purchase 3 yr warranties on them. but you could be right and they might just replace it.

YOU are right and am glad for your advice. The 3 year warranty is worth it and they replace it with NEW so that's worth it.

yes they do give you a whole new one. warranties are great, I have one on my whole house and appliances. My washing machine on a rental completely broken, not fixable, and they are bringing in a whole new one free, the cost of the warranty for the whole house and appliances is only $350/yr, the washer alone is worth more than that. My renter asked if this was okay. ummm...??? hello!
