I've always wondered why, and no one can ever give a reasonable explanation as to why DOGS have to have shots & be licensed, and in many places be leashed yet CATS roam freely license free.

From personal experience, methinks CATS are a barometer to the relationship stability/instability. In 2 different relationships, where 3 distinctly differing felines residing in the home of the female partner in afore mentioned relationship, I developed periods of allergic reactions. When the relationship was going well, no allergic reactions. When the relationships went to hell, my nose ran constantly, throat swelled and eyes teared constantly.....have it board psychoanalysts.

Easy.......stress and anger opens one up to allergic reactions....true.

Dogs live huge lives, high profile.
Cats sleep all the time, therefore low profile.

not buying into that, relative to gov't regulation - and they don't sleep all the time...every listen at night?

But the Gov't is sleeping at night, and day naps too. My little town has tried to license and control the cats, but no public support.

When was the last time a cat chased you or your vehicle down the street?
