Law...It's a rather interesting concept, that's why I would like to hear from someone "in the know".

as a target of a frivolous lawsuit (which i won, but cost me money for legal counsel)i would be all for such a system. in my case, i asked the judge if he would/could please punish the real guilty party and was told i should be happy with what i got.

the "loser pays" system has been bandied about here in the U.S. - not a good idea IMO
I'd also be interested to know how it works in Belize.

I heard a story once about a lawsuit brought by an American in Mexico, after the American fell into an unmarked hole in the sidewalk and injured his ankle. Judge sent someone out to stand by the hole in the sidewalk. Turns out hundreds of people passed by in a day and no one else fell in. Suit dismissed.
No idea if this is true or not, but thought it was kinda funny!

Any suit brought by any person for actions occurring while someone else is holding their beer for them should be dismissed immediately. :rolleyes:

To those of you that so emphatically state that you hate lawyers, I ask you, "Why?" To categorically lump thousands of people together and declare hatred for them is as stupid as saying that you hate doctors or pre-school teachers, or....hmmmmmm.....salesmen. Just a thought.

how about telemarketers? Hold my beer while I look something up (not by the bottom part, damnit, hold it by the neck so it stays cold. Jeez, do I have to tell you everything)

Redundant. Anyone who drinks your beer when they are just supposed to be holding it is a leech.
