Cotton, I have some lovely beachfront one-bedroom condos on Caye Caulker, fully furnished, all utilities paid, available for $1250 U.S. per month. Take a look at this website (www.auxilloubeachsuites.com) for more info, or e-mail me at belizeanthings@yahoo.com.

Cheers,
Wendy

Hi Cotton! You can afford lots of places. Not to worry. Good luck to you. Just want to say to you what my good dive instructor always says to me when I want to 'jump ship' and move there...its not as easy as you think. My best suggestion to you, don't cut all the ties to 'back home'. It really is difficult to do this. So, go, give it a shot, but remember, you may need to go back home again. The best info my Dad ever gave me was when I was 20 and decided to move to NYC to work for Pan Am. He said, "Well, what's the worse that can happen, you run out of money and you have to come home". Just make sure you haven't cut the ties with home, and you will be fine! Great luck to you!

Hi Cotton, we just relocated in March and were having a hard time finding a place. May should be better of course as season will be over.

We are ever so grateful to Keith who runs B-leases as he found us an amazing place in the area we wanted laugh He's been a great help. You can find his email address in the accomodations section of this site and his his phone number here is 011-501-226-2186.

As for money, I would just have it deposited in your account at home and use your debit card down here. I think we pay a $5 charge so its much cheaper than wiring fees. You just go in to the bank and the teller does it all for you. I think the max per withdrawl is $3000 Belize per day.

BW, YOU FOUND A PLACE! I wondered how you were doing. Way to go! You crossed that hurdle. So you did decide to stay on AC, not Caulker? May your good fortune continue in your new home! smile

Cotton, Banana Beach has monthly rentals.

By the way, it sounds like you need a good rest and San Pedro is the place to do it. Best of luck to you and thanks for all you've done for our country. Becky.

My guess, most any place would cut you a deal for a monthly rental.
