I didn't represent the minor in the case that originally got him probation, so I don't know what that was all about. The alleged violation is that he failed to follow school rules.
windyw - I agree with all you said except the "is he a good kid part" I believe he deserves the best defense there is whether he's "good" or not. It's not my job to make moral judgments, it's my job to make sure the law gets followed and that my client is well-represented.
