My dictionary (American Heritage--I borrowed it from Jesse) says you can spell it with one 'g' or two. It worked better with two, in this instance.

Feb...maybe. I ain't jumpin' out of no airplanes, though. Not unless it's to chase a case o' Belikin and save it from smashin' on the beach.

I was going to get a life, but this was easier.

Not gonna quibble with you now on which dictionary may be most appropriate, for as you so aptly stated, it worked well in this instance. And, if you did indeed obtain it from the party indicated, it MUST be true.

Feb: Perhaps you can aide the counselor in the fine art of wallet holding and be certain copious amounts of Belikin await the jumpees.

JUSTICE PREVAILS!!!!!

The court agreed with me that the rule was too vague to be enforced in this instance. The petition against my client was dismissed after he received a stern warning about his "attitude." Redmondlaw, you joked about Wikipedia and "minced oath" but after Bobber said he googled crap yesterday, I did the same. I found the article you mention and while I didn't cite it to the court, I did use the argument which naturally stems from the article, which is that my client was actually trying to avoid profanity by using crap instead of the more vulgar term.

This kid will be back in court, probably soon and for something worse, but we won this one. Plus I thought it was an interesting discussion - thanks, everyone, for joioning in. I do like this board and the gang here! laugh
