Thank you so much everyone for the updates....it kills me that I'm not on the island with everyone right now. Glad that everyone is safe and there is no masive damages. Take care everyone!!

Have been following along at work but could not post. Just wanted to add my good wishes and relief to everyone else's. This message board can be a dysfunctional family when things get a little boring, but it sure pulls together when necessary.
Cheers.

Thanks Marty....We are very glad to hear that this was a near miss and not a direct hit for Belize!

marty,
don't know what everyone would have done w/out you.. i was up all night reading posts and such just to be sure everyone in that lovely country was ok.. i've visited several times in the past two yrs, and it is the only place i can call my happy place.. as you have already heard, most weather stations never even mentioned belize, whiich
only added to my worry and frustration. thank god everyone is ok and
god bless you. you really made this alot easier for everyone.

Jan...Thanks so much for the pics! It is great to see Cliff, Joann, Xavier, Carla? safe and sound with smiles on their faces. Is that my good buddy Stan's dock?

Thanks Marty for all the hurricaine info and the great shots of San Cristobal in Bocas. I love Panama and have been by Susan's property a couple of times. Beautiful place.

I was disappointed that the major networks barely reported anything about Belize, but assumed that if they did, AC would be in more trouble than it turned out.

mjml, I spoke with Linda Carter early this morning and she said that Holy Cross School was just fine......just surrounded by about 10 inches of water. Tres Cocos just north of the bridge did very well.

I just talked to our family in San Pedro....the power came on less than an hour ago....regular BTL service is working in town. They live across from Nellies Laundry...only miage to the town, some trees down...minimal damage to housing structures....no real injuries they are aware of....
