Hi all,

this is the first chance I've had to post, just to let you know that we made out fine and now have power (sometimes) and Internet. Took loads of pictures and will post as soon as I can. Stayed above Caye Management and had an impressive night watching the waves come ashore. Hope everyone on the island made out well, didn't see any major damage during a tour of the south end of the island today.

Re: Fido's South and Royal Caribbean, the area looked fine but i didn't go up the drive as it looked a bit soggy.

I am so glad that our "La Isla Bonita" favored well. I was wondering if anyone has heard or seen Waraguma's open? Mrs. Flores is the owner. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I also have noticed that everyone has pulled together. It's great to see the love that comes from something that could have been tragic. Thanks for all of your support and Marty....you are great!!

i am ever sooo greatful that the gods have looked after your wonderful country.god would never damage something so lovely.
i, have in fact been several times to sp and surrounding areas,
this country has a place in my heart like no other..i am so relieved that everyone and almost eveythinf os ok.

lm u r correct, ther wasn't any msnbc/twc/cnn/ that even showed that we sp/ambergris caye were even on the map..but, marty was there no matter what. only love goes out to u my sweet...ur the best.

*CURFEW EXTENDED IN NORTHERN DISTRICTS*
After numerous requests from residents of the areas most affected by
Hurricane Dean, namely Corozal and Orange Walk, NEMO officials have decided
to extend the curfew at least another day. No persons will be allowed on
the streets in these two districts between the hours of 8pm of tonite
Tuesday August 21st and 6am of tomorrow morning, Wednesday August 22nd. The
Police will be conducting vigilant patrols in these areas and the
Commissioner of Police request the continue cooperation of the general
public in this matter. Police in both districts have special passes for
person who can sure just reasons for being out during those hours. All
others persons are advised to remain off the street during those hours and
to ensure that children are in bed at an appropriate hour.
