For the second time, IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE DEPARTURE TAX, TAKE IT UP WITH THE A.I.R.L.I.N.E.! So what if they want you to pay with US dollars. It's been that way since I've been coming to Belize, at least the last 3 years.

You should always carry cash some cash when trying to leave a country other than your own. You never know when you'll need it.

I would think that MORE people would have US cash, upon leaving, than they would BZE. In fact, I'm sure of it. But we don't need to try to understand that rule.

If I use FF miles, I have problems paying the departure fee before-hand. Otherwise, I find it is almost ALWAYS included.

I guess it just depends on the airline but still, people should carry the extra $.

My girl friend had to get a hotel unexpectedly due to a canceled flight while in Costa Rica. The hotel unexpectedly decided to take only $$ at that time.
