Actually, I was expecting something totally different. Imagine my surprise when I was disappointed that I didn't see what I expected, but saw something even more interesting. What kind of emotion do you call that?

Yeah, somewhat. Like once I stepped in a parking lot pothole in a rainstorm, lifted my foot out and there was a $10 bill draped over the toe of my boot. That kinda thing.
