Thank you Simon. i will get the information from the office in the morning. and reply to this thread tomorrow evening. then i can bring the phones with us when we come out in June.

Type the model number (listed behind the battery) into a Google search.

Then click on one of the review sites. (Or the site of the provider, ATT)

Look in the specs and look for "Band".

It will list the different bands (or channels) that the phone will work on.

There were dual band, then tr-band and now quad band phones.

Update: AT&T now charges for text messages sent from/received in a foreign country. I think .25 each, but don't recall for sure.

Where would one donate old cellphones on AC? I've got a couple lying around.
