Help...I am trying to find the ADO bus schedule from Playa to Chetumal. I have read to do it online you can get it only a day or few before departure. I am also wondering if ADO goes directly to Corozal. OH! How that would be convenient!

Thanks for that info, I've tried that and when I put in Origin and Destination it comes up no routes available. I have even emailed Ticketbus and no response...

Hi there I managed to print schedule out, the bus only goes to Chetumal, then grab a cab to the border. The bus in Playa DOES NOT leave from the terminal on 5th Ave, it leaves from the other terminal near 20th & 12th. Here are dep times..
00:00,00:25, 01:50, 6:20, 7:20, 9:20,10;50, 11:50, 13:20, 14:35, 15:20, 16:35, 17:35, 18:25, 19:35, 21:20, 22:35...Also some buses make more stops so the travel time is longer, I am going to try taking the 6:20 am bus to try and make the 11:30 flight in Corozal next week, I hope its do able, time will tell...Hope this helps...Cheers, LaGrange

OH thank you thank you thank you - if you think of it when you get back let me know how it goes. We aren't traveling until May but it is nice to have the info. If we take the 9:20 hopefully, we should still be able to catch the 3:50 from Corozal.

Pedro2 - what is the expected traveling time? We are arranging to meet a private transfer from Chetumal to the Corozal airstrip. Seems reasonable to pay $50 US to pay for someone to get us there quickly.

colomojo - reckon on around 5 hours on the bus once it leaves Playa. At to the transfer, I'm pretty sure I didn't pay anything like US$50. More like US$20, though I could be mis-remembering. That was with http://www.belizetransfers.com/.

LaGrange48 - I think that would be very tight. The bus takes around 5 hours, then the taxi ride takes maybe 20 PLUS whatever time border formalities take. No, I don't think you'd make it.

Why don't you email the transfer service I gave above (info@belizetransfers.com)? They're very knowledgeable and helpful, and they'll be able to give you the best advice.

P2 - I have emailed them, thank you for the info. Saving $30US can buy quite a bit of rum and coke (at least a bottle and a 12 pack) HA!
