We were walking on the beach away from the fire and here comes tacogirl, camera in hand. good pictures.
we're at Belizean Reef and went up to the roof and got a view of the machine breaking into the building, and the smoke and flame rushing out.
they sure got the traffic organized. they took down the fence at the airport, and then let traffic across between planes.

Drivers: Do not rely solely on the flagman when crossing the airstrip! Always look carefully to make sure there are no planes coming.

WOW, A sad day for the San Pedro "Walmart". Seems like the Fire Department did the best they could with the minimal equipment they have. Glad no one got hurt.

Fire's out now except for some smoldering piles outside on the ground. The second floor of the building looks like a write off, huge holes in the walls where the back hoe smashed through.
