I have agreed with that part from the beginning, Bobber. His public criticism of prostitution coupled with his private participation in same has opened the gentleman up to much criticism. In much the same way judging others for their shortcomings opens us up to criticism when, heaven forbid, our "perfect" lives suffer a bit of tarnish. As pug noted, it's a shame the focus has been on the "moral" issue of extramarital sex as opposed to the existing laws that make prostitution illegal and the issues of hypocrisy of so many governmental officials.

Hmm Let's see.....politicians who publicly bad mouth ___ (fill in the blank with gays, prostitution, kickbacks, etc) and then get blatantly busted for participting in _____(fill in the blank with the same word as above)

Sounds alot like politics as usual to me...but I could be wrong

This board is a good place to share opinions, ideas, and fun. LeeAnne, Your efforts to chastise anyone who doesn't agree with you is tiring. If I want to call a sleezball a sleezball, based on his character, his actions, and his media coverage, than it is my prerogative. You can't stop it, your words do nothing to change it. I think the best advice anyone could give you is "get over yourself".
I am finished with this topic now, hope it levels off into something everyone will enjoy reading, instead of direct attacks on people who are just adding their opinions. Heaven forbid LeeAnne doesn't like it. I guess she has become the message board Gestapo!

very true! and not just the polilticians! those TV preachers frequently seem to get caught up in that too...

Sun&Sand, you will think what you will and I never expected to change that - only to offer a different perspective. Not sure how that makes me any different from anyone else. It's just my opinion.

Leah Ann is apparently able and willing to avert her eye to the criminal acts of particular people, depending upon their politial affiliations. The Governor is the head executive of the State of NY and has committed criminal acts and he should be prosecuted accordingly. It is a fact that he has admitted publicly. Its not a moral issue, its a criminal issue. Spitzer's illegal activities are certainly cause for his removal/resignation from public office. How he and his family handle the issue is personal, of course. I do feel for his family, they must be reeling from the fall out of his atrocious behavior.
